Better Breathers clubs are sponsored by the American Lung Association and located throughout the nation. Each club follows guidelines established by the American Lung Association to provide education to adults with lung problems. The Denton County Better Breathers Club was established in 1989 and meets at 11 a.m. on the last Wednesday of each month. Meetings last about an hour, and a light lunch is provided. Living With Cancer Group meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 1 to 2 p.m. in the main hospital Rio Grande Room. This group is for anyone on the path of living with cancer, including caregivers and patients. You will learn about resources in our community and find friends to share the journey. Look Good Feel Better provides four programs a year in collaboration with American Cancer Society. This group is for women only and meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Trinity Room of the hospital's women's center. Lunch is provided. To register, please call 940-898-7002.

Weight loss support group is open to anyone who has had bariatric surgery, regardless of their surgeon, and meets for Attitudinal healing from 7 to 8 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of every month in the office of David Provost, M.D., 2501 Scripture Road, Medical Building 6, Ste. 303. You're also invited to join the staff and other patients at 5:45 p.m. for a walk around the hospital campus or the sky bridge. This is all done within a safe, peaceful environment.
