Texas Health Resources University

Texas Health Resources regularly reviews data regarding its workforce and projected staffing needs for years into the future, and we have determined that we will not have a Prodigy class in summer 2015. Announcements and information about other future Prodigy classes will be posted here as soon as they’re determined.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Texas Health Youth Prodigy Program, offered through Texas Health Resources University, is both an educational and employment opportunity for recent high school graduates who have an interest in pursuing a career in registered nursing. After a summer of paid training and working full-time hours at Texas Health, Prodigy students take part-time jobs at Texas Health hospitals around Dallas-Fort Worth while continuing their academic work. The Prodigy Program is designed to be a pathway to eventually earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing by first earning an associate degree, with college-credit prerequisite courses taken at DFW-area community colleges.
