Snapshot: Give and Take Cart Collected Blessings
As they have in years past, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne staff did their part to help those less fortunate in the community – and each other.
Donated grocery and household items filled a silver cart in the hospital’s basement. On any given day, items on the cart included canned goods, pasta, coffee, paper towels, napkins, disinfecting wipes, diapers, baking pans, coffee, protein drinks, spices, baby food or other items.
While most would refer to such items as household necessities, the hospital’s recognition team referred to them as blessings.
Dubbed the Give and Take Cart, the initiative allowed staff members to donate, share, take and receive as needed, strengthening hospital camaraderie and providing a way to bless others anonymously.
