Matt Johnson, Ph.D., LPC, AASP-CC
Dr. Matt Johnson is the sport psychology consultant for Texas
Health Ben Hogan Sports Medicine. As a former quarterback at
Notre Dame, Johnson understands the "mental game" and has 15
years experience teaching athletes the mental skills to become
more focused, less anxious, and more confident toward achieving
their "peak performance" as well as "bounce back" confidently
from an injury.
Johnson works with athletes from virtually every sport from
baseball and soccer to golf and equestrian. His clients range
from 7-year-olds to Olympic and professional athletes. He has
provided clinics and workshops around the country.
A former professor of sport and exercise psychology at Texas
Christian University, Johnson educates parents and coaches on the
latest sport psychology research to enhance performance and
enjoyment of sports. Locally, he has served as a sport psychology
consultant for the TCU Horned Frogs.
