Over the next decade, Plano and its surrounding areas are expected to welcome 267,000 new adult residents, most of them over 45. As the population grows, so do its healthcare needs.
To serve this vibrant, expanding community, Texas Health is launching a $346 million expansion: a new eight-story tower with 168 additional beds, an upgraded Emergency Department, and enhanced specialty care in Neuroscience, Heart and Vascular, and Digestive Health. Construction is slated to begin in July of 2025.
As part of this bold initiative, we are investing in the future of care through our Graduate Medical Education program. In 2024, we welcomed our first class of internal medicine residents, many of them local graduates, building a pipeline of physicians committed to serving this local community.
