- Locating mobile clinics in churches and other community centers in identified Tarrant County and rural communities in Johnson, Kaufman, and Erath counties.
- Utilizing a bilingual and bicultural mobile team that is linguistically and culturally appropriate in the communities we are targeting.
- Engaging non-clinical, community-based volunteers to assist with registration and clinic flow management.
- Providing transportation for patients to/from mobile vaccination clinics, especially in rural areas and with church partners.
About the Texas Health COVID-19 Response Fund
We continue to be humbled by the many who have reached out to see how they can help as we battle COVID-19 and work to protect the health of our community. The Texas Health COVID-19 Response Fund helps us accomplish multiple goals as we evolve and adjust our efforts.
As this fight continues, support for our front-line staff makes a difference to them and those they treat. Sustained support from our donors helps protect our caregivers as they bravely show up every day to serve our patients, as well as protecting the North Texas community as a whole.
We are pivoting our COVID-19 Response Fund to help increase community vaccination efforts to reach the most underserved communities in North Texas. Since the COVID-19 vaccine rollout began in January, it became evident that historically underserved Black and Hispanic communities were experiencing access issues and other barriers to receiving the vaccine.
