American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer  

Knowledge is power in the fight against cancer. That's why the cancer program at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is dedicated to providing information and support to help you make sense of your cancer diagnosis and treatment options. With the help of our American Cancer Society Resource Center, specially trained nurses, skilled medical staff and caring support groups, we'll help you replace fear with facts and hopelessness with healing.

We combine knowledge with skilled specialists and advanced services to give you the quality medical care you need to fight the disease. The physicians on the medical staff and employees with the Texas Health Plano cancer program offer a full continuum of care, including diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, education, support, prevention, research and long-term follow-up of patients.

Oncologists on the medical staff and employees of Texas Health Plano have earned recognition for their work. In 2008, the cancer program at Texas Health Plano received the highest level of approval from the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer. It was announced in 2009, that the program received the Outstanding Achievement Award for exceeding the requirements for full approval.

Oncology Nurse Navigator

Our oncology nurse navigator will be a point of contact, assisting you every step of the way to help you understand your diagnosis and treatment options. From assisting with appointments to overcoming barriers to care, she is the person you can turn to for answers. To contact the program manager, call 972-981-8643.

We're not only dedicated to treating cancer at Texas Health Plano, we're also committed to preventing it. The Sue A. de Mille Women's Diagnostic Breast Center provides all-digital mammography, as well as breast MRI.
