Acting Up In Public

Does your toddler act up in public, especially at times when you really want and need her to behave?

Remind yourself of your child’s young age and try the following:

  • Have reasonable expectations. She can’t sit still for long, and she’ll need to be well-fed and rested.
  • Prepare your child for where you will be and how you want him to behave.
  • Bring a snack, toys or books to keep her from getting bored and restless.
  • Be ready to leave if his behavior is too disruptive.
