Avoiding a Sedentary Life

It’s so easy these days to spend the day inside, without much in the way of vigorous activity. But with childhood obesity at epidemic proportions, it’s important to instill healthy habits in your toddler.

Get outside and play every day with your child. Go to the playground, take a walk, run around the yard and jump over cracks in the sidewalk.

Limit TV and other screen time to no more than 1 hour a day for kids ages 2-5 and no screen time at all for kids younger than that.

An active toddler will likely remain an active child and teen.
