Dance As Exercise

When it’s cold or rainy outside, how can you get your toddler some much needed exercise?

Simple. Just dance! Toddlers love to move to music, especially when you’re dancing, too.

Daily exercise is essential to preventing childhood obesity, which is now at epidemic proportions among American children. One study of 5,500 children showed that those who exercised just 15 minutes a day were

50% less likely to become obese. Daily moderate exercise, rather than high intensity exercise once in a while, appeared to make the difference.

Dancing is a fun, easy way to do this.
