Enrolling in Sports

Sports for toddlers is less about competition and more about learning teamwork, coordination and new skills. Just remember, toddlers are lack mature hand-eye coordination. So if your child is having trouble with hitting or catching, it’s important to keep encouraging her and reminding her that it’s all about having fun.

Before signing your child up for sports:

  • Make sure your child is interested in sports. If she’s not, don’t push it.
  • Let him try a variety of sports to see which he likes.
  • Make sure he isn’t asked to perform beyond his abilities.
