Gardening with Toddlers

Your toddler loves keeping busy with his hands and fingers. What better way to entertain than through some fun (and secretly educational) outdoor projects?

Gardening is a great way to engage your child.

Some quality social/emotional and learning time can be had in the dirt of a flower or vegetable garden with the right amount of prep. Have your child help dig holes for the plants, cover the roots back up with dirt and water the plants.

Remember to keep your goals simple and your expectations wide open. These outdoor projects will reap benefits no matter how big or small.
