Toddlers Brains and Learning

Though there are varying theories as to why, research confirms that young children have a greater capacity to learn new things than adults or even older children.

One theory says there are set time periods when the brain is more open to certain kinds of learning—languages, for example. Another states that learning builds upon learning; babies and toddlers learn so much so quickly because they didn’t have the knowledge before.

Regardless of why, it’s true that your toddler’s brain is actively growing and changing and accumulating new and interesting things every day. Be sure to expose him to new experiences, people, music and language possibilities.
