Your Relationship As a Couple

You may be worried about how the demands of caring for a toddler affect your relationship with your partner. Keeping that relationship strong is as important to you as it is to your child, who learns about love and security from watching the 2 of you together.

Communicating with your partner about your feelings, needs and the child you parent is so important. Respecting each other and being consistent on the limits you set for your child will help you work as a team.

Make sure you also reserve time alone together as a couple; you’ll be better parents because of it.
